Greene County is joining the National Association of Counties, the National Association of County Veteran Service Officers, and the Iowa State Association of Counties (ISAC) in Operation Green Light to show support for veterans.
The initiative aims to “shine a light” on issues and challenges veterans face, particularly as they transition to civilian live.
The south façade of the Greene County courthouse and the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower will be lit in green Nov. 6-12 to show gratitude to veterans and grow awareness of the issues they face.
