Medical center will benefit from Bomgaars Ladies’ Night

The eighth annual Bomgaars Ladies’ Night promises festive fun and fall shopping Sunday, Nov. 5, from 5 to 8 pm. Everyone is encouraged to take advantage of a 20 percent discount on much of their regular-priced merchandise. Attendees can also win prizes or Bomgaars gift cards.

Each year, 5 percent of the total sales during Ladies’ Night are donated to a local hospital or cancer center in the communities Bomgaars serves. In Jefferson, the Greene County Medical Center Foundation has been selected to receive the 2023 proceeds. The money raised will be used in support of cancer patients, towards equipment purchases and/or other oncology-related needs.

“Thank you for supporting your local businesses and Greene County Medical Center cancer patients,” said foundation director Nancy Houska. “Nearly all of us have been touched by cancer in some way and the generosity of Bomgaars in raising awareness and supporting our local residents is remarkable. The success of their fun night out for a cause can be seen in the growing participation numbers and we are very grateful for their efforts.”

In the first year of Ladies’ Night, there were 21 participating locations with donations of more than $18,000. In 2022, over $113,000 was raised at 107 participating locations. Organizers have announced this year will be bigger and better than ever with a record 181 locations hosting a Ladies’ Night event.
