The public forum for Jefferson city council candidates this evening, Oct. 25, will be livestreamed starting at 7 pm. The forum will be held at the Greene County Elementary School cafeteria in Jefferson.
All four candidates for city council have agreed to participate: Susan Bose, Chad Sloan, Trevor Wishman, and Matt Wetrich. The four are running to two seats on the council, with Wetrich being the only incumbent on the ballot.
Sebourn Video Services will provide livestreaming via the City of Jefferson Iowa Facebook page. SVS is donating the livestreaming as a public service to the community.
The forum is hosted by the Rotary Club of Jefferson, also as a service to the community.
Rotarians will host a second forum Monday night, Oct. 30, at 7 pm at the elementary school for Greene County school board candidates. Superintendent Brett Abbotts will also provide information about renewal of the physical plant and equipment levy (PPEL). There are not plans to livestream that forum at this time.
