In Greene County district court Chia Grabel, 49, of Churdan was sentenced Oct. 4 to 180 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of operating while intoxicated. All but two days of the jail time was suspended and he was placed on informal probation to the Greene County sheriff for one year. He must complete the recommendations of a substance abuse evaluation he has already undergone, and he must complete a community college drinking driver’s school Grabel was fined $1,250 with a $187.50 surcharge. Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignments as follows: Rene Dominguez, 39, of New Ulm, MN, sex abuse- second degree, lascivious acts w/ child, fondle or touch; Justin Ray Lopez, 25, of Jefferson, possession of a controlled substance- third or subsequent offense and possession of marijuana- third or subsequent offense; Sarah Dawn Schwery, 46, of Jefferson, operating while intoxicated; Jason Douglas Dane, 48, of Jefferson, gambling- false statement on application; and Karston Armen Ausborn, 22, of Lytton, OWI- second offense and possession of marijuana. Trial dates were set for Dec. 12 in every case.
Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant that Jose Otoniel Regalado Dubon, 41, of Humbolt, harassment- first degree, indecent contact with child, sex abuse- third degree, lascivious acts with child- fondle or touch, and burglary- first degree.

Todd Jr, 19, of Springfield, IL, possession of marijuana; Logan Chase Ferguson, 21, of Jefferson, possession of marijuana; Dale Lee Spaulding, 55, of Glidden, possession of controlled substance- third or subsequent offense; Timothy Wayne Ray, 49, of Grand Junction, assault causing bodily injury or mental illness; and Royce Christopher Gonnelly, 32, of Jefferson, driving while license revoked.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
