In Greene County district court Alicia Marie Hawkins, 33, of Jefferson was sentenced to seven days in jail after she changed her plea to guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana- second offense. The jail term was suspended and she was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. She must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at her own expense. She was fined $855 with a $128.25 surcharge. Paying restitution for her court appointed attorney’s fees and court costs is pending a hearing on her ability to pay. (Sentencing: Honorable Joseph B. McCarville)
Patricia Joann Day, 65, of Fort Dodge was granted a deferred judgment after she changed her plea to guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana. She was placed on informal probation to the Greene County sheriff for one year, and she must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at her own expense. She must pay a $430 civil penalty, an amount not to exceed $600 restitution for her court appointed attorney’s fees and $100 court costs. A companion case in magistrate court in which Day was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed. Court costs were $60 in that case. (Sentencing: McCarville)
Rene Dominguez, 39, of New Ulm, MN, pleaded not guilty Sept. 26 to charges of sex abuse- second degree and lascivious acts with child- fondle or touch. A trial date is set for Dec. 12.

Patterson, 23, of Jefferson, possession of marijuana; Christopher Herbert Lawrence, 43, of Ames, possession of methamphetamine- third or subsequent offense, and operating while intoxicated; Audrie Leiann Lawrence, 23, of Jefferson, possession of methamphetamine; and William Poio of Jefferson, possession of marijuana.
