They’re at it again–the Varceis Club is presenting Grab-n-Go lunch, Version 3.0. The menu includes a large sandwich croissant with five slices of shaved ham and a slice of Colby jack cheese, scoop of potato salad, larger individual bag of assorted types of chips, our famous chocolate chip bar, and bottled water. Price is $8 and will be collected when lunches are picked up.
Date is Tuesday, Sept. 19. Serving will run from 11 am to 12:30 pm that day. Drive by the north side of the United Methodist Church in Scranton for pick-up of your lunch.
Reserve your lunch(es) by calling Susanne at 712-652-3666 or Cheryl at 712-652-3924. Both numbers have answering machines if you need to leave a message. Please tell us your name and number of lunches requested. Please call in all reservations by Saturday evening, Sept. 16. You may stop by anytime between 11 – 12:30 on Sept. 19 for pick-up.
The Scranton Varceis Club was established in 1949. If the math is correct, that puts the club in year 74.
And they’re not stopping now. Proceeds from Varceis Club fundraising events go right back into local projects that benefit children, families, and seniors in Scranton.
“Don’t miss out on this delicious event. See you Sept. 19,” a spokesperson said.
