The Community Players of Greene County invite area residents to “Gather ‘Round the Radio” for a trip back in time when radio brought a new world of entertainment to homes across the county.
KPGC will ‘broadcast’ a collection of classic radio shows Saturday, Aug. 26, at 5 pm at the Spring Lake Park lakeside shelter, 1847 195th St, Jefferson.
Episodes of Superman, Fibber McGee & Molly, and The Bickersons, as well as “The Tell-Tale Heart” will be brought to life by a cast that includes Jeff Hughes, Heather Moody, John Schoening, Terry Delp, Darren Jackson, Chad Stevens, Alexis Stevens, Hollie Roberts, Gwendolyn Hooper, Bill Wright, Kristen Wright, Josh Tuel and Marlene Larsen. Josh Tuel is director.
Attendees should bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. There is no admission charge, but free will donations will be accepted to help the Community Players cover costs of the next production.
