UPDATE: Trevor Baugh passed away Sunday, Aug. 20, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center of injuries sustained in the accident.
A Jefferson man was seriously injured Wednesday when a deer ran into his motorcycle.
The Iowa State Patrol reports that on Aug. 16 at 9:43 pm Trevor Michael Baugh, 27, of Jefferson was operating a 1982 Honda Night Hawk eastbound on 250th St west of C Ave when a female deer collided with the motorcycle.
Baugh was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained serious injuries. He was transported to St Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll and later transferred by air to a Des Moines hospital.
