Funeral services will be held July 26 at First Presbyterian Church in Jefferson for Ed Lawson, 81, of Jefferson.
The Rev Bill Kem, pastor of the church, will offer words of comfort. The family will share remembrances. Michael Kennedy will be soloist, accompanied by Cheryl Nailor. Honorary bearers will be Jordan Lawson, Paige Lawson, Justine Lawson, Jennifer Kennedy, Bill Kennedy, Bill Taggart, Larry Thomsen, Tim Webb, Gary Lawson, Kendall Lawson, Kimber Lawson, Keaton Lawson, Cris Serrato, Lyanna Serrato, Diana Lawson, Lynn Johnson, Susan Lawson, Cathy Crowder and Carolyn Ellsworth.
Casket bearers will be John Lawson, Klayton Lawson, Andy Krieger, Keith Conroy, Michael Kennedy, Tom Kennedy and Danny Moranville. Interment will be at the Jefferson Municipal Cemetery.
Charles Edward Lawson was born to Charley and Velva (Edwards) Lawson on December 29, 1941, in Gowrie, and passed away on July 21, 2023 at the age of 81 in Jefferson.
After graduating high school, he was united in marriage to Donna Mae Kafer on November 3, 1961. To this union two children were born, Robert Edward and Denise Ann. During their courtship and marriage Ed and Donna enjoyed dancing and roller skating together and playing cards with friends.
West Central Cooperative in Jefferson was Ed’s employer for 30 years.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents and his brother Ronnie Lawson.
Ed is survived by his loving and devoted wife Donna; son Robert and daughter Denise; brother Gary; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held July 26, 2023 at First Presbyterian Church, Jefferson. Interment will be in the Jefferson Cemetery.
