The Churdan library staff and board and the Town and Country Band will celebrate the Fourth of July with Tunes & Treats Tuesday, July 4, in the Churdan city park.
The library will serve ice cream sundaes, brownies a la mode and root beer floats starting at 6:30 pm. A free will donation will be accepted, with proceeds going toward ongoing programming and operating expenses.
The Town & Country Band, directed by Victoria Anderson, will perform all-American music at 7 pm. The play list includes two pieces with narrations by Jeff Lamoureux, one of which has not previously been performed in Churdan. Several students have joined the band this summer, and the “old-timers” are excited to share this slice of Americana with a new generation.
All are welcome. Lawn chairs are suggested.
