All military veterans, their families, and the families of deceased veterans are encouraged to attend a discussion of post-traumatic stress disorder – PTSD – Tuesday, June 6. The discussion will begin at 7 pm at the Greene County Community Center meeting room.
Guest speaker will be Wayne Marck, Veterans Affairs outreach specialist.
Sometimes a service member doesn’t recognize PTSD in themselves. Depression, anger, being startled easily, poor sleep, substance abuse, and marital and family problems can all be traced to PTSD.
The discussion, which is hosted by American Legion Post #11, will include identifying the disorder and resources available to deal with it.
