The Greene County boys golf team had two showings last week, playing 18 holes on Thursday and another nine on Friday.
Thursday’s Des Moines Christian Invitational brought eighth place for the Rams, with Jack Hansen placing fifth with a score of 77.
Scores were: Jack Hansen, 77, fifth; Mylo Taute, 96, 33rd; Nathan Towers, 97, 34th; Cody McCollom, 100, 38th; Parker Fitzpatrick, 110, 45th; Shaydon Thurman, 122, 48th.
Team scores: Des Moines Christian 326; PCM 331; Hampton-Dumont-CAL 347; Panorama 353; Earlham 353; Treynor 356; Coon Rapids-Bayard 365; Greene County 370.
On Friday, the Rams took second at the Don Williams golf course, hosted by Ogden. The scoring Rams golfers played well, taking four of the top 10 places in the meet. Hansen placed first, with McCollom in fourth, Towers in seventh and Fitzpatrick in 10th.
Scores were: Hansen, 41; McCollom, 44; Towers, sixth; Taute, 48; Fitzpatrick, 55; and Parker Lehman, 56, 12th.
Team scores: Roland-Story 178; Greene County 180; Ogden 188.
The Rams were scheduled to golf on Monday at the Lakeside Municipal Golf Course, Thursday at the Jefferson Community Golf Course and on Saturday at the Perry Golf and Country Club.
