Earlham Early Bird
Greene County boys track and field team saw one competition last week, visiting Earlham High School March 28 for an early bird meet. The Rams March 27 home meet was cancelled due to inclement weather.
For the first outdoor competition of the year for the Rams, top 10 finishes in field events came from Broc Hamann taking seventh in shot put, Jesse Miller finishing seventh in discus and Lane Fields taking eighth in the high jump. Jace Wilson finished ninth in shot put. On the track, Noah Hinote took an individual top 10 with an eighth place finish in the 800 meter run. The 4×200 and 4×400 meter relay teams each finished ninth.
High jump – Lane Fields, 5’ 6”, eighth; Jordan Cerwick, 5’ 2”, 14th.
Long jump – Eli Mohr, 16’ 5.75”, 17th; Broc Stream, 15’ 10”, 20th.
Shot put – Broc Hamann, 39’ 10”, seventh; Jace Wilson, 37’ 9.75”, ninth.
Discus – Jesse Miller, 114’ 5”, seventh; Rafe Michaelsen, 86’ 9”, 23rd.
100 meter dash – Lane Fields, 12.85, 14th.
200 meter dash – Camden Jacobs, 27.04, 13th; Gabe Block, 27.42, 16th.
400 meter dash – Patrick Graham, 1:02.59, 17th; Camden Jacobs, 1:03.58, 18th.
800 meter run – Noah Hinote, 2:17.33, eighth; Kendall Freeman, 2:28.00, 17th.
4×200 meter relay – Broc Stream, Eli Mohr, Lane Fields, Kaiden Burbank, 1:42.47, ninth.
4×400 meter relay – Trey Schilling, Jesse Miller, Drew Wolterman, Camden Strennen, 3:54.71, ninth.
4×800 meter relay – Aidyn Winters, Jaden Koller, Hayden Sutherland, Noah Hinote, 10:49.51, 12th.
800 sprint medley – Camden Jacobs, Patrick Graham, Kaiden Burbank, Kendall Freeman, 1:52.35, 13th.
