Final forum of 2023 legislative session
The public is invited to “Meet Your Legislators” on Saturday, April 15 at 10 am at the Welcome Center, 201 E. Lincoln Way, Jefferson. The event is sponsored by the board of Thomas Jefferson Gardens of Greene County as a community service as the importance of an informed electorate was a strongly held belief of former President Thomas Jefferson.
State Senator Jesse Green and Representative Carter Nordman, who represent Greene County in the Iowa legislature, have committed to attend the forum. Matt Wetrich, director of Jefferson Matters: A Main Street & Chamber community, will serve as moderator.
In his second term, Green represents Senate District 24 which is composed of Greene, Boone, Guthrie and part of Dallas counties.
Nordman, also in his second term, represents House District 47 which includes Greene, Guthrie and part of Dallas counties.
Questions will be taken from the audience in writing submitted on cards to the moderator. The event will conclude at 11 am. This is the final forum for this legislative session.
