The medical team at Greene County Medical Center, the Family Medicine Clinic and the Specialty Clinics work year-round to provide expert services and compassionate care to all who live in the region. To thank them and demonstrate how much they are appreciated, Greene County Medical Center is hosting a meet-and-greet on National Providers’ Day, Thursday, March 30. The come-and-go reception will be held from 4:30 to 6 pm in the main lobby at Greene County Medical Center, and all are invited to attend.
“We are thankful for the tireless work of the providers here at Greene County Medical Center,” says CEO Chad Butterfield. “However, we may not always have an opportunity to express that gratitude in person. What better time than Providers’ Day to bring our community members and patients together with our medical providers in a celebration of the care they give here in Jefferson?”
The Providers’ Day gathering has the added benefit of giving attendees the opportunity to meet other medical team members who work with their primary providers; team members they may see on a professional level in the very near future. “As Greene County Medical Center and the Family Medicine Clinic expand the services and healthcare offerings available, we want to introduce the providers who will begin seeing patients on a walk-in basis at the beginning of April,” explained Butterfield. “Our new walk-in clinic opens Monday, April 3, and attendees at the Providers’ Day reception can gather more information and discuss the new option with those who will be caring for them and their families.”
Walk-In Clinic services will be in the Family Medicine Clinic with hours of operation Monday through Friday from 7 am to 4:30 pm. Patients will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. The types of illnesses and ailments that will be treated in the walk-in clinic include cold and flu symptoms, allergies, fevers, cuts, abrasions, minor sports injuries, infections and like issues. The walk-in option will also work in tandem with same-day appointments, allowing the patient to select which will work best for them.
The Greene County Medical Center Foundation is asking patients to consider another way to honor their provider, nurse or favorite team member, with a donation and a note of thanks. “Tell us why you are recognizing this special caregiver on the donation form and we will share this with them on Providers’ Day as well as during Nurses and Hospital Week in May,” Foundation director Nancy Houska said.
Donations will continue to support the delivery of high-quality care to family and friends. Additional details and forms can be found at gcmchealth.com/foundation by clicking on the link under Honor Care Givers or by texting HONORGCMC to 4144.
