Tens of thousands of bicyclists will pass through Jefferson Tuesday, July 25, as part of the Register’s Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI). RAGBRAI was last in Jefferson in 2018 when an estimated 25,000 riders and their support crews spent the night.
RAGBRAI riders this time will spend Monday night in Carroll and Tuesday night in Ames. They’ll enter Jefferson on County Road E-53 and leave on the same road before turning south to pass through Rippey. From Rippey they’ll pass through Luther before riding the last leg to Ames.
