The 11th Scranton Kids Fishing Day is set for Saturday, June 3, from 11 am to 2 pm at Pond Park on the south side of Scranton.
Children ages 4-17 are invited. Lunch will be served and speakers will share information about fishing.
Registration forms are available now at the Scranton public library or by calling Ashley Squibb at 515-370-3505. Children who are registered by May 25 will receive prizes. Several door prizes will also be awarded that day, but children must be present to win a door prize.
Persons who would like to donate to the program can email scrantonkidsfishingday@gmail.com. Donations by check, payable to Ashley Squibb, can be mailed to Squibb at 1004 Grant St, Scranton, IA 51462. Donors should write “Scranton Kids Fishing Day” on the memo line.
