Greene County High School students will present “The Addams Family,” a new musical comedy, this Friday and Saturday at 7 pm and Sunday at 2 pm, at the high school performing arts center.
The musical takes off from the 1960s sitcom with the rather unusual Addams family. Gavin Vander Linden plays Gomez Addams, with Ava Schilling in the role of Morticia Addams. Their children Wednesday and Pugsley are played by Olivia Hoyt and William Graham. Uncle Fester is played by Lucy Vander Linden, with Hailey Carman as Grandma. Rasmus Villebro is Lucas Beineke, the “normal” person with whom Wednesday has a love interest. Mal and Alice Beineke, Lucas’s parents, are played by Bill Wright and Grace Hardaway.
Filling out the cast are Parker Lehman as Lurch, Aden Bardole as a conquistador, Charlie Cooklin as a caveman, Karlee Fagerlind as a soldier, Ella Ostrander as a flight attendant, Emma Acton as a bride, and Lizzy Long as a Puritan.
Dave Heupel is director, assisted by Darren Jackson and Clay Ross. Wes Anderson is directing the accompanying ensemble.
Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for students. Tickets are available at the school office or at the door.
