Giant potato masher gifted to Hanaman

The Rippey Lions Club has served roast beef sundaes to BRR Ride folks for many years. Part of the preparation is 80 pounds of mashed potatoes. Dale Hanaman is the organizer of the work. This year the giant potato masher could not be found so Dale had to use a smaller one and prepare the potatoes in smaller batches.

At the last Lions Club meeting, president Greg Jacobs (left) presented Dale with a replacement masher. Dale’s name is inscribed on the handle.  ~photo contributed by Nancy Hanaman

UMC installation – Dale and Nancy Hanaman traveled to Collegiate Methodist Church in Ames to share in the installation of Bishop Kennetha Bingham-Tsai for the Iowa United Methodist Church. She was honored at a reception following the impressive service.
