Darren Jackson (pictured, left) recently presented Emily Gannon, Greene County Schools at-risk liaison, with $500 through a grant from the Presbytery of North Central Iowa. First Presbyterian Church of Grand Junction, of which Jackson is a member, applied for the grant.

Gannon will use the funds for a food pantry located in her office at the high school. The food pantry is sometimes a gateway for students seeking help with their mental health, Jackson said.
