The Iowa Department of Criminal Investigations is assisting the Greene County sheriff’s office in investigating a possible shooting that may have occurred in Grand Junction Saturday night.
The Greene County communication center received a 9-1-1 call Feb. 4 at 9:52 pm from the 1000 block of Main St East in Grand Junction. The caller reported they fell and hit their head against a door. However, when Grand Junction rescue arrived, they assessed the scene and advised a deputy it was a possible gunshot wound.
The case is pending further investigation, according to the Iowa DCI.
