Chili Cook-off Fundraiser
The annual chili cook-off fundraiser, sponsored by the Rippey public library, will be held Saturday, Jan. 21. Serving is from 11 am to 1 p m or until the food is gone.
Cast your kernel for your favorite chili! Prizes will be given!
The menu includes chili, cinnamon rolls, coffee and cold beverages. Lots of fun to go around! A free-will offering will be appreciated.
Those entering chili for the cook-off are asked to call the library at 515-436-7714 or talk with a board member. Please bring your chili entries to the community room at 10:30.
Rippey Lions Club – The Rippey Lions Club will meet Thursday, Jan. 19, for their regular meeting. The meal will be served at 6:30 pm at the Rippey United Methodist Church, prepared by women of the church. Alan Robinson will present the program at 7:30, sharing information about the housing initiative for home repairs in the eastern half of Greene County-Paton, Dana, Grand Junction and Rippey.
