Jefferson is gearing up to hold its 3rd annual Winter Festival: Celebration of Trees, on Dec. 2 from 4 to 7 pm at the Elks Lodge. This year, there will be an adult time added from 7 to 10 pm on Friday evening as well.
The Festival will continue on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 10 am to 5 pm. There will be children’s crafts and activities, treats and hot chocolate, the famous “eye spy” game, hayrides around the square, and live music. Santa will be making an appearance and his elf will be randomly gifting adults with Chamber Bucks. Visitors will be given ballots to vote for their favorite tree.
While there is no admission, free will donations are appreciated to help cover the cost of the event. It is not too late to enter a tree for display. Persons who want more information can check out the Winter Festival and Jefferson Matters Facebook pages or call the Jefferson Matters office at 515-386-2155.
