The Greene County conservation department has worked most of the year cleaning up trees downed by the December 2021 storm as well as removing ash trees that are dying from disease in the county parks.
Thirty-three trees were purchased through Krieger’s Greenhouse in Jefferson for this project. Conservation employees were joined by Mark Runkel from the Department of Natural Resources and several local volunteers to complete the planting last week. This project will ensure the future of the trees in the parks for many years in the future.
