Greene County magistrate court, week ending Aug. 12

In Greene County magistrate court Caden James Wilson of Scranton was granted a deferred judgment Aug. 10 after he pleaded guilty to two counts of animal neglect- no injury/serious injury or death. He was placed on informal probation to the Greene County sheriff for one year. A judgment was entered for a $105 civil penalty. He is jointly and severally liable with Cassidy Adamson for $1,108 restitution to the Greene County sheriff to cover a veterinary bill for the two dogs involved.

Cases were initiated in magistrate court as follows: Anthony Charles Kennedy of Ames, theft- fifth degree; Michael John Downey of Carroll, public intoxication; Jason M. Pirie of Callender, theft- fifth degree; Beverly Jean Moore of Grand Junction, theft- fifth degree; and Shane Franklin Clark of Council Bluffs, violation of protective order.
