The Greene County soccer teams’ seasons have ended.
The Rams girls finished their season May 16 after a match against the Nodaway Valley – West Central Valley Wolverines. The Rams scored only one goal, made by Esther Van Horn, against the Wolverines’ three.
The boys faced Panorama on May 16, winning 8-1. Brenner Gallagher and Jose Velazco each scored two goals, with Cody McCollom, Gesser Gutierres, Chad Maston and Kolby Angell, scoring one goal each. Goalie Gabe Ebersole had seven saves for the Rams.
On Thursday, the boys team continued their winning streak by beating Chariton in the first round of substate play. The Rams scored five goals and allowed the Chargers none. Greene County goals were kicked by Gesser Gutierres, who scored two; Jose Velazco, Brenner Gallagher and Jack Hansen. Gabe Ebersole had two saves as goalie.
In the second round of substate play May 23, the Rams (10-5) lost 3-1 to the Des Moines Christian Lions (11-4).
