The Friends of the Jefferson Public Library invite area residents to “spring into the library” for the Annual Friends’ spring book sale. The three-day book sale begins Thursday, April 28, and runs through Saturday, April 30. Admission is free and prices range from 25 cents to $2. The book sale is held in the library basement during regular open hours.
“The spring book sale is a great place to find books for your children and grandchildren to help them practice their reading skills over the summer,” a Friends of the Library spokesperson said. “Stock up on books to take on vacation or sit outside on a hot summer afternoon on the deck, at the swimming pool, or beside the AC.”
There will be books for all ages at the sale, as well as all genres such as mysteries, romance, westerns, science fiction, fantasy, classics, and inspirational fiction both in regular and large print. There will be a large selection of non-fiction, too, including gardening, history, hobbies, cookbooks, biographies, and more. There are more than books at the book sale, with tables full of movies on DVD, books on CD, jigsaw puzzles and board games.
The Friends of the Library Book Sale is an annual fundraiser for the library. “Through your purchases, you enable our library to offer more resources for everyone to use and enjoy. Thank you for supporting your local library,” the spokesperson said.
