Greene County district court, week ending April 15

In Greene County district court David Robert Kersey, 50, of Ames was granted a deferred judgment after he pleaded guilty at arraignment to a charge of gambling- false claim of winnings. He was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for two years. A judgment was entered for a $1,025 civil penalty and $140 court costs. Two counts of gambling- false claim of winnings and one count of theft- third degree were dismissed. (Sentencing: Honorable Joseph B. McCarville)

Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant that Richard German Rosado Davis, 35, of Spencer is charged with driving while license barred. The warrant was issued 1/21 and returned 3/25.

Cases were initiated as follows: Cierra Catherine Wright, 21, of Waukee, possession of marijuana; and Oliver W. Peyton, 49, of Newark, NJ, assault causing bodily injury or mental illness.
