Plans told for Easter egg hunts

Sweet Treats, the Scranton United Methodist Church’s outreach program, will host a community Easter Egg hunt in Scranton Saturday, April 9, at the Scranton city park just east of city hall. The event starts promptly at 10 am with more than 4,000 eggs ready to keep all the girls and boys happy.

The Easter Bunny is very busy but will be available for photos with his friends. All children through high school are welcome. 

The Jefferson Kiwanis Club and Jefferson park and recreation are partnering to host a free  Easter egg hunt Saturday, April 9, at the Greene County Community Center.

Local businesses provide candy and prizes for the eggs. Every participant is guaranteed to receive an egg.

Pre-registration is encouraged. Same-day registration will begin at 3:30 pm, with the hunt beginning at 4 pm. Toddlers through third grade are welcome.

Abundant Life Ministries will host a free Easter egg hunt Saturday, April 16, at 1 pm at 1308 W. Lincoln Way in Jefferson. One thousand Easter eggs will be spread over 6 acres. Families should bring a basket or bag to take candy home in. The event is free for all children up to age 10.
