How many of us take time to look at the trees around us? Two local experts will lead a walk focused on trees at Daubendiek park. Trees Forever’s Brad Riphagen will join Greene County conservation director Tanner Sheuermann Wednesday, April 6, at 2 pm for an educational tree walk and pruning demonstration.
This free walk at Daubendiek Park is a chance to stop and notice the trees. Participants will consider species (bark and leaves), as well as growing conditions. It’s also an opportunity to learn about pruning the trees in your yard and maybe get some hands-on experience, while enjoying a walk in the spring air.
No registration is required. Just bring your tree-related questions and your walking shoes, and meet at the entrance to Daubendiek Park.
This is the third tree walk sponsored by the Jefferson tree committee. Successful walks were held at Spring Lake and Squirrel Hollow Parks in 2021.
