Following are excerpts of activities reported by the Greene County sheriff’s office:
Thursday, March 31: Routine activity reported.
Wednesday, March 30: At 10:10 am a deputy investigated a theft in the 500 block of N. 16th St in Grand Junction. At 10:51 am a deputy investigated a theft in the 900 block of Irving St in Scranton. At 1:35 pm the sheriff arrested Robert Montgomery, 67, of Grand Junction on a Greene County arrest warrant for conspiracy to commit a non-forcible felony*. At 7:33 pm a deputy investigated a domestic assault in the 200 block of Cartwright St in Rippey. Randolph Glass, 56, of Rippey was arrested for domestic abuse assault causing injury*.
Tuesday, March 29: At 9:44 am a deputy investigated a theft in the 300 block of Irving St in Scranton. At 2:18 pm Scranton fire, the sheriff and a deputy responded to a broken natural gas line at 8th and Lincoln Sts in Scranton. At 3:50 pm a deputy investigated a theft in the 700 block of Walnut St in Scranton. At 6:23 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of kids on 4-wheelers in and around Scranton.
Monday, March 28: At 4:52 pm a deputy investigated a theft in the 2200 block of Brentwood Ave in Willow Township.
Sunday, March 27: At 12:33 pm a deputy investigated a controlled burn that was not called in and occurred during a burn ban near V Ave and 170th St in Junction Township.
Saturday, March 26: At 12:40 am a deputy assisted the Jefferson PD with an arrest.
Friday, March 25: At 9:22 am a deputy investigated a complaint of theft in the 300 block of S. 12th St in Grand Junction. At 4:39 pm a deputy investigated a theft in the 400 block of S. 9th St in Grand Junction.
Thursday, March 24: At 12:19 pm a deputy assisted with arranging transportation for subject who was walking in Grand Junction and heading to Eagle Grove. At 1:44 pm a deputy investigated a burglary in the 1000 block of Sandoe St in Grand Junction.

Tuesday, March 22: At 10:55 am a deputy investigated an attempt to pass a counterfeit bill at Sparky’s One Stop in Rippey.
Monday, March 21: At 3:37 pm a deputy and Paton fire responded to a brush fire in the 1600 block of 120th St in Paton Township.
Sunday, March 20: At 11:20 am a deputy assisted with an unruly inmate in the jail. At 1:16 pm a deputy and Scranton fire responded to a grass fire on Hillcrest Ave and Highway 30 in Jackson Township. At 2:39 pm a deputy and Jefferson fire responded to a grass fire in the 2400 block of Highway 4 in Franklin Township. At 4:39 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of trespass in the 1000 block of E. Hager St in Grand Junction. At 5:14 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of criminal mischief in the 800 block of Grant St in Scranton. At 5:40 pm a deputy and Jefferson fire responded to a grass fire in the 1900 block of R Ave in Franklin Township. At 9:52 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of trespass in the 1000 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction.
Saturday, March 19: At 4:39 am a deputy arrested Joseph Peterson, 38, of Paton for operating while under the influence- third offense.* At 10:01 am a deputy assisted with a child missing from Stanhope who was located in Churdan. At 4:04 pm a deputy investigated suspected marijuana that was located in the 1800 block of Redwood Ave in Franklin Township. At 4:55 pm a deputy, Grand Junction fire, Jefferson fire, Paton fire, Scranton fire, and Ogden fire responded to a house fire in the 1000 block of E. Main St, Grand Junction. No one was home at the time of the fire. The house was a total loss.

Thursday, March 17: At 4:50 pm the sheriff, deputies, Scranton fire, and Greene County Ambulance responded to a semi vs car accident on Highway 25 near 290th St in Willow Township. Caitlyn Day, 29, of Paton was traveling northbound on Highway 25 driving a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu. Samuel Naberhaus, 22, of Scranton was eastbound on 290th St driving a 1978 Benson semi-tractor and trailer. Naberhaus failed to stop at the stop sign and pulled out in front of Day. Day struck the rear of the trailer, causing an estimated $9,000 damage to her vehicle. The semi-trailer had an estimated $50 damage. Two passengers of the car were taken to Greene County Medical Center by private vehicle with minor injuries. Naberhaus was cited for failure to stop and failure to yield right of way.
Wednesday, March 16: At 1:43 pm deputies, Jefferson fire, Scranton fire, Churdan fire, Grand Junction fire, and Ralston fire responded to a grass fire that included 130 round bales of hay in the 1300 block of Hillcrest Ave in Jackson Township.
Tuesday, March 15: At 11:53 am a deputy investigated a dog bite in the 2300 block of 290th St in Washington Township.
Monday, March 14: At 4:31 am a deputy investigated a car-deer accident on 170th Street near N Ave in Highland Township. Katelynn Cleek, 24, of Bagley struck a deer with a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox, causing an estimated $6,000 in damage to the vehicle. At 11:39 pm a deputy assisted the Jefferson PD with an arrest in the 400 block of N. Oak St.
Sunday, March 13: At 1:39 pm a deputy and Jefferson fire responded to a grass fire in the 2200 block of Highway 4 in Franklin Township. At 2:02 pm a deputy and Jefferson fire responded to a grass fire in the 1800 block of 305th St in Franklin Township.
Saturday, March 12: At 11:09 am a deputy assisted with a cow out on I Ave near Highway 30 in Bristol Township.

Thursday, March 10: At 8:22 am a deputy investigated an assault in the 1000 block of Eagle St in Scranton. At 10:45 am a deputy investigated a theft in the 2200 block of Neola Ave in Franklin Township. At 3:48 pm a deputy investigated a theft in the 1300 block of 100th St in Dawson Township.
Wednesday, March 9: At 1:21 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of theft in the 1100 block of J Ave in Kendrick Township. At 2:21 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 400 block of Lincoln St in Scranton. At 10:10 pm a deputy assisted the JPD with an arrest.
Tuesday, March 8: At 8:26 pm a deputy picked up a stray dog in the 800 block of V Ave in Junction Township and took it to PAWS.
Monday, March 7: At 12:54 am a deputy assisted with a cat in a house in the 400 block of E. Paton St in Paton. At 5:12 pm a deputy investigated a car-deer accident in the 1000 block of Highway 30 west of Jefferson. Janet Hardman, 69, of Jefferson struck a deer with a 2007 Lexus GX470, causing an estimated $2,000 damage to the vehicle.
Sunday, March 6: At 2:06 am a deputy investigated a dog bite in the 500 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction.
Saturday, March 5: At 12:22 am a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 30 near D Ave west of Scranton. Shannon Meyer, 46, of Ralston was arrested for driving while license barred*.
Friday, March 4: At 11:30 am a deputy and Jefferson fire responded to a small grass fire on 280th Street near Neola Ave in Grant Township.

Tuesday, March 1: At 8:28 am a deputy investigated a burglary in the 1200 block of Main St in Scranton. At 2:59 pm a deputy and Scranton fire responded to a grass fire in the 1200 block of B Ave in Scranton Township. At 6:17 pm a deputy located a dirt bike hidden in the 1200 block of 245th St in Jackson Township. At 7:01 pm a deputy assisted the Jefferson police department with an arrest. At 9:56 pm a deputy assisted the Jefferson PD with an assault in the 300 block of N Olive St. At 11:10 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of trespass in the 1000 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction.
