ELEVATE is a couples’ education curriculum, offered virtually, that blends practical skills with an understanding of the physiology of human interaction to enhance healthy relationship knowledge and skills. The course is for all couples who are planning to be married, living together, or entering into a step-family relationship. The course examines seven core skills that have been found essential to maintaining healthy and stable relationships. Many practical and helpful strategies and tools are taught, as well as activities that help couples regulate their heart-brain response to stressful situations. Since the classes are virtual, individuals or couples can learn and practice from the comfort of home.
ISU Extension and Outreach is offering a virtual ELEVATE for four Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, beginning March 23. Danielle Day and Malisa Rader, human sciences specialists in family wellbeing, will conduct this program. There is a $99 per individual or $175 per couple program cost that includes couples’ workbook and worksheets sent by mail.
