Rotary holds no food drive for ARC

Members of the Rotary Club of Jefferson completed a “No Food November” drive for the Action Resource Center with a large delivery on Dec. 6

Non-food items including paper products, personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies, or laundry and dish detergent were collected throughout the month of November.

“Those are things that really add up and can’t be purchased with food stamps. We’ll take them to the ARC the first week in December. That will reduce stress for struggling families and allow them to spend money on other needs,” said club president Tori Riley.

Jefferson Rotarians Tori Riley (center) and Jacque Andrew (right) delivered items collected in a No Food November drive last week. Shirley Haupert (left) was at the ARC to accept the donation.

The Rotary Club of Jefferson meets Mondays at noon at the Jefferson Community Golf Course for lunch, fellowship, a program on a timely topic and to do good in the community and the world.  Contact Tori Riley at jeffersoniarotar@gmail.com for information on membership.
