Holiday Toys for Local Children
Sherry Graven, elf exemplar, is collaborating with Teresa Lansman of New Opportunities in the “Toys for Greene County Kids” project. All toys donated to the project will be distributed to Greene County youngsters. Parents who have registered their children through New Opportunities will be able to attend the toy distribution Tuesday, Dec. 14, at Clover Hall.
Last year more than 255 Greene County youngsters received toys. Toys are needed for age newborn to 14 years old. According to Lansman, many of these youngsters will not receive toys at Christmas if they don’t get them from this type of project.
Persons who would like to donate toys can bring them unwrapped to the Greene County engineers office on the main floor of the county courthouse by Friday, Dec. 10. Persons who want more information can contact Graven at the engineer’s office. (Note: the courthouse will be closed Nov. 24 and Nov. 26.)
