The level of community transmission of Covid-19 remains HIGH in Greene County.
Greene County public health director Becky Wolf reported Nov. 15 that there have been 1,420 cases of Covid-19 in the county, with 14 cases diagnosed in the past seven days. The seven-day positivity rate is at 5.1 percent; the 14-day positivity rate is 5.8 percent.
Public health has free Test Iowa home kits. Residents can call public health at 515-386-3228 to arrange outdoor pickup.
There are several upcoming opportunities for parents to have their children ages 5-11 vaccinated. Pediatric vaccine clinics are scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 16 and Thursday, Nov. 18, from 4 to 7 pm at Greene County Elementary during parent-teacher conferences; Wednesday, Nov 17, from 3 to 6 pm at public health (Greene County Medical Center Clinics entrance, level B); and Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 22-24, from 9 am to 12 pm at public health.
A school-based clinic is pending at Paton-Churdan.
