Goal is to package 30,000 meals in two hours
Home State Bank is partnering with Wild Rose Casino for the second annual Mobile Hunger Fight event on Wednesday, Nov. 10 from 6 to 8 pm at the Greene Room at the Wild Rose.
Supporting local non-profit organization Meals from the Heartland, Home State Bank and Wild Rose are setting the goal to package 30,000 meals in two hours. In addition to volunteers from both organizations, they are seeking support from the public to join them in helping package and give to this much-needed cause.
“Meals from the Heartland is a wonderful organization making a difference both in our backyard and around the world,” said Home State Bank president Sid Jones. “At Home State Bank, community outreach and giving back are pillars of our foundation, which is why we partnered in creating this event. I’m sure we’ll be able to package even more this year to help feed those in need.”
During their first mobile hunger event, Home State Bank and Wild Rose Casino were able to package 29,592 meals with 90 volunteers. This year, they are also including fun games and giveaways for those who volunteer.
