The Greene County cross country teams ran in the South Central Calhoun Cross Country Invitational at the Lake City Country Club on Tuesday, Oct. 5.
There were two runners for the girls. Olivia Shannon came in 32nd and Autumn Stevens came in 56th. There was no team score for the Rams.
Seven runners competed for the boys, earning the Rams sixth place as a team in the 12 team meet with a total of 86 runners competing in the boys varsity race.
“Although we had most of our varsity runners, some are still not 100-percent healthy. Hopefully we can get stronger heading into the conference meet on the 11th and then the state qualifier on the 21st,” said Rams coach Jeff Lamoureux.

On Thursday the teams competed at the Saydel High School for the Saydel Cross Country Invitational. The boys team placed fourth out of 11 complete teams in the meet.
Logan Woodruff paced the Rams, finishing in 22nd place with a time of 19:12. Close behind was Jaden Carstensen in 23rd place in 19:17, and Ethan Frederick in 24th place in 19:22. Other Ram finishes were

In the girls race, Olivia Shannon placed 45th in 24:47 and Stevens placed 78th in 30:30.
