Scranton mayor Cole Gustoff submitted his resignation to the city on Sept. 7. He cited personal reasons as the reason for the resignation.
Mayor pro-tem Jerry Boyd will fill the office until after the November election. The person selected by the voters will take office following the canvass of the votes.
