Twins, Triplets and More – Fairgoers and judges saw double (and triple) at the annual Twins, Triplets and More Contest at the Iowa State Fair. This contest judges twins, triplets, and other multiples based on most and least alike pairs and trios.
Kay Moranville and Karen Pope of Jefferson were judged (again!) to be most alike in the age 18 and over division.
King Arthur yeast roll contest – Marianne Carlson of Jefferson once again scored in the King Arthur Baking Company yeast roll contest at the Iowa State Fair. Carlson earned second place overall and a $150 gift card, placing first in the cinnamon rolls with nuts and sweet rolls other than named, and second in the cinnamon rolls frosted or glazed, white pan rolls, and whole wheat pan rolls categories.
