In Greene County district court Antonio Luis Alexander, 41, of Des Moines was sentenced July 27 to 10 days in jail after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of driving while license barred. He was fined $855 with a $128.25 surcharge; both were suspended. He must pay restitution not to exceed $200 for his court appointed attorney’s fees. Court costs were $100. Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignment as follows: Rene Omar Guzman, 44, of Grand Junction, willful injury causing bodily injury; and Anthony James Peterson, 31, of Jefferson, domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness, and willful injury causing serious injury. Trial dates were set for Sept. 28 in both cases.
Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant that Joshua Kelly Urania, 41, of Pilot Mound has been charged with theft- third degree and forgery. The warrant was issued May 23 and returned July 16. The warrant was issued July 22 and returned July 29.
