Organizers of the Scranton Community fall fundraiser are seeking donations to assist in the event. Scheduled on Saturday, Sept. 18, the money raised will benefit four Scranton entities: Marchant Memorial Library, Parks Department, Fire Department and Community Center.
The first event was held in 2019 with plans for a second event last year. However, the pandemic changed things so the second event will be held in 2021.
The first event raised money towards a new fire truck, digitizing The Scranton Journal at the library, new park equipment and repairing the roof on the Community Center.
There are three ways to contribute: goods or services to the live or silent auction or monetary donations.
All proceeds will be split equally between the four entities following the fundraising event.
