In Greene County district curt Stephen Tracy Redding, 32, of Coon Rapids was sentenced July 14 to 180 days in jail after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of operating while intoxicated- second offense. All but seven days of the jail time was suspended and he was placed on probation for 12 months to a “mutually agreeable and suitable” supervising individual. He will be under house arrest for 40 days. He must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at his own expense. He must also complete a 12-hour impaired drivers education course. Redding was fined $1,875 with a $281.25 surcharge. Court costs were $140. Three traffic citations were dismissed. Julie Renae Eslinger, 33, of Boone pleaded not guilty to a charge of burglary- third degree. A trial date was set for Sept. 28.
Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant that Sarah Johanna McBurney, 39, of Fort Dodge has been charged with theft- third degree. The warrant was issued May 6 and returned July 16.
Cases were initiated in district court as follows: Charles Raymond Bradshaw II, 57, of Jefferson, eluding; Tigers Takenya McQueen, 21, of Des Moines, possession of marijuana; and Maddison Jolynn Battani, 19, of Des Moines, driving while license barred and identity theft costing less than $1,500.
