In Greene County district court Daniel Joseph Tasler, 30, of Jefferson was sentenced July 6 to two years in prison on each to two counts of child endangerment causing serious injury. The prison terms are consecutive, but concurrent to the sentence in a Polk County felony case. Tasler was fined $625 with a $93.75 surcharge on each count; the fines and surcharges were suspended. Austin Eugene Block, 21, of Boone was sentenced to three days in jail July 5 after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of driving while license revoked. Nicole Terese Borkowski, 36, of Jefferson was granted a deferred judgment July 7 after she changed her plea to guilty to a charge of child endangerment. Amy Lynne Taylor, 46, of Lake city was sentenced to two days in jail after she pleaded guilty to a charge of theft- fourth degree, amended from burglary- third degree. Another charge of burglary- third degree was amended to two counts of trespass. Taylor was fined $430 with a $64.50 surcharge on the theft charge, and $260 with a $39 surcharge on each of the trespass charges. Eric Christopher Rosenow, 37, of Jefferson was sentenced to two days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana- first offense, amended from possession of a controlled substance- third or subsequent offense. He must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended training at his own expense. Rosenow was fined $430 with a $64.50 surcharge. He must pay an amount not to exceed $1,260. Marcus Anthony Terrell, 29, of Albia was sentenced to two years in prison on a charge of eluding or attempt to elude, amended from eluding- speed 25 over limit- second or subsequent offense. He was also sentenced to two years in prison on a charge of driving while license barred. The prison terms are concurrent to sentences in cases from Guthrie and Adair counties. He was fined $855 with a $128.25 surcharge on each count; the fines and surcharge were suspended. He must pay restitution for his court appointed attorney not to exceed $600 and $100 court costs. Mark Haase, 35, of Ogden was sentenced to one year in jail after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of domestic abuse assault- second or subsequent offense. The jail term is concurrent to a term in a Boone County felony case. Haase must complete the Iowa Domestic Abuse Program at his own expense, and he may not possess, ship, transport or receive firearms, offensive weapons or ammunition. He was fined $430 with a $64.50 surcharge. He must also pay a $90 domestic abuse assault surcharge. He must pay restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees not to $600. Blakeman, 28, of Perry, operating while intoxicated and child endangerment; and Raymond Tillman Bacon, 44, of Grand Junction, sex abuse- third degree (10 counts). Trial dates were set for Aug. 24 for Richter, Perez and Blakeman; for Sept. 13 for Bacon; and for Sept. 28 for Matthews, Lawrence, Gonnelly and Romberg.
