Cram the Cab nets nearly $1400 for food pantry

A grand total of $1,382 was raised at this year’s Greene County Farm Bureau’s Cram the Cab event held June 12 – 19 at the Jefferson Fareway store.

The dollar total represents a combination from Fareway customers who purchased pre-packed bags of non-perishable food items, customers who rounded up their grocery bill at the cash registers, and cash donations from Greene County Farm Bureau Financial Services agents Kim Tjepkes and Damon Clancy, and the county Farm Bureau.

Greene county board members John McCormick and Perry Parker, Fareway manager Keith Voss, and Kye Cross, manager of Rueters Equipment recently delivered more than 25 grocery bags filled with non-perishable food items that had been purchased and also made a check(s) presentation to Greene County Christian Action Resource Center director Shirley Haupert.

Greene County Farm Bureau thanked everyone who had a role in making this year’s Cram the Cab event so successful.
