Interact Club gives May baskets to nursing facility residents

Interact members shared May Day flowers with 111 residents of senior care centers.

The Interact Club at Greene County High School brightened May Day for 111 residents at long term care at Greene County Medical Center, Regency Park Nursing & Rehab Center, and The Gardens.

Interact members decorated styrofoam cups with Happy May Day messages and then filled them with flowers purchased by an anonymous donor. The festive bouquets were delivered to residents on Friday.

The project was coordinated by Interact Club co-president Conner Allender.

The GrCoHS Interact Club is sponsored by the Jefferson Rotary Club. It has been in continuous existence since 1996, giving students an opportunity to experience the benefits of service.
