Elvin Thompson honored for 50-year membership

Dr Elvin Thompson (left) was honored at the American Legion Post 11 meeting Monday for 50 years of membership. Presenting a certificate is post vice commander Jim Andrew. Thompson is also a vice commander of the post. Post 11 meets the second Monday of the month at the Thomas Jefferson Gardens Welcome Center.
