Rippey United Methodist Church, Pastor Catherine Stokes
Thursday April 1 – Maundy Thursday service at 7 pm @ Rippey UMC
Friday April 2 – Good Friday service at 7 pm @ Perry UMC
We continue with in-person worship. Masks are required. Please social distance. Guidance from the conference says we can sing again, as long as we continue to wear masks and social distance.
There will still be a service online thru Facebook on my page and on the parish Facebook page at 10 am.
If you are unable to join us in worship on Facebook or in-person, you can join us on KDLS radio station on Sunday mornings. The services are one week behind.
From the Rippey library shelves – One of the new books, Isabel Allende’s memoir, The Soul of a Woman: On Impatient Love, Long Life and Good Witches, includes her early life in Chile and elsewhere, coming of age in the 1960s to recent times. Check at the Library for her fiction books. She writes in this memoir that it is important to all women “to be safe, to be valued, to live in peace, to have control over their bodies, to be loved.” Her hope is that her writing will encourage women of all ages, especially younger women to continue the work that needs to be done. ~Nancy Hanaman
