In Greene County district court Kaleb Lee Lentz, 26, of Scranton was sentenced to two days in jail after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of driving while license revoked. He was fined $1,000 with a $150 surcharge. He must also pay up to $600 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees. Court costs were $100. (Sentencing: Honorable Joseph B. McCarville)
Brandon Lee Ferguson, 22, of Jefferson was granted a deferred judgment after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was placed on probation for one year to Boone/Greene County Probation, and he must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommendations at his own expense. A judgment was entered fort a $430 civil penalty. He must pay an amount not to exceed $600 for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $187.83 court costs. (Sentencing: McCarville)
Randall Gerald Venteicher, 52, of Scranton was sentenced to two years in prison after he pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic abuse assault- second offense, amended from domestic abuse assault- third or subsequent offense. All but two days of the prison term was suspended; the two days is concurrent to time in a Greene county misdemeanor case and a Carroll County charge of operating while intoxicated. He will be on probation to the Iowa Department of Correctional Services for two years. Venteicher was fined $855 with a $128.25 surcharge; both were suspended. He must pay a $90 domestic abuse assault surcharge, an amount not to exceed $1,200 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees, and $100 court costs. (Sentencing: McCarville)
Tyler Edward Proft, 19, of Boone pleaded not guilty March 12 to charges of possession of marijuana and eluding causing injury while under the influence or participating in a felony. A trial date was set for May 11.
Cases were initiated as follows: John Henry Hironymous, 64, of Fair Oaks, CA, theft- fourth degree; Eric Christopher Rosenow, 37, of Jefferson, possession of controlled substance- third or subsequent offense; Sean Patrick Phillip Shell, 45, of Jefferson, unlawful possession of prescription drug and possession of methamphetamine; Edward Lee Goff, 19, of Jefferson, criminal mischief- third degree and trespass causing injury or damage greater than $300; and Katarina Nichole Stilson, 23, of Paton, driving while license revoked.
