With the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, Democrats across Iowa begin their efforts for 2021 and 2022. The Greene County Democrats will hold their off-year caucus Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 7 pm.
Democrats will gather to volunteer and to select precinct representatives, three from each of the seven voting precincts, who will head up efforts “to meet our community challenges, and join together to make Greene County a more welcoming place for Democrats, their ideals and their goals,” said Greene County Democrat chair Chris Henning.
The caucus will be held via Zoom. Precinct representatives selected at the caucus will select the day and time for monthly meetings for the coming year. One lucky attendee will win a framed copy of Amanda Gorman’s inauguration poem, “The Hill We Climb”.
Persons who want more information can contact Henning at 515-370-2436. The Zoom meeting ID will be posted on the Greene County Democrats’ Facebook page.
