The 14-day positivity rate for Covid-19 testing in Greene County is 10.6 percent as of Monday morning, Dec. 28. One new case of Covid-19 was identified in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases to 656. There have been two new cases in the past three days, 18 new cases in the last seven days and 36 new cases in the last 14 days.
Of the total cases, 128 are active and 528 persons are considered recovered. Seven county residents have died of Covid-19.
Greene County public health director Becky Wolf continues to encourage county residents to celebrate the New Year holiday safety. She suggests avoiding gatherings of non-household members when possible. “Social distancing, wearing masks, washing hands frequently, and staying home if you are sick are all ways to protect your friends and loved ones. Please be careful,” Wolf said.
